The main goal of Website design or redesign is to create an image or mood that helps potential clients or customers to better understand what your business or organization has to offer them. Once the content has been planned to appropriately appeal to target clients or customers, as the first stage in the actual design process, NetSoft Design will create non-functional design mockups.

These nonfunctional design mockups are simply pictures of what different pages on your site might look like when completed. These mockups show the overall layout, placement of logos, text, buttons, graphics, photography, multimedia elements, colors, font styles, and anything else that has to do with the look of the pages. Clients have an opportunity request changes to these design mockups until they get just the right look to communicate the right message to their Website visitors. The final client-approved design mockups become a blueprint for creating the actual site and the individual graphic elements.

There are no absolute set rules for every Website. Some guidelines for good design that NetSoft Design applies to all its designs in order to make them as effective as possible include:

Designing with usability and clarity in mind
Ensuring sites will be easy to navigate and making information easy to find (often times, clients are tempted to create very clever or unique navigation, but if it is not obvious to your average Website visitor how to navigate your site, they may become frustrated and move on to a competitor's site)
Ensuring consistency from page to page (for example, navigation buttons or other significantly important features should stay in the same order and same general location from page to page (if users have to take time to find your navigation buttons because they are in a different place than on other pages, you are simply detracting from the site's message)
Targeting and designing content by following appropriate planning and development techniques
Ensuring all non-text elements support the text and are used for an actual purpose rather than because they look "cool"
Using appropriate professional looking graphics and photography to establish a credible and professional image

All Website graphics work we offer is done with industry standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, Fireworks, and other applications that are part of the Adobe Creative Suite.
